Field(s) of activity for the internship

The seven CubeSat missions will demonstrate Greece's capability to host multiple payloads in response to European and national needs. The missions primarily focus on secure connectivity, while also providing multipurpose services such as telecommunications and Earth observation. Most of them will use optical ground stations in Greece to track and communicate with the satellites.

Development is well underway, with design reviews due to be held over the summer and the final acceptance review prior to launch due within 18 months.

The CubeSat projects represent the first part of ESA's Greek Connect Programme (Telecom part), which will include also the setup of a state-of-the-art assembly integration and testing facility and upgrades of existing optical ground and radio-frequency tracking stations in Greece.

As an intern, you will be an active member of the cubesat teams and will have to support the Principal System Engineer on system engineering tasks and more specifically on EO payloads development and EO payloads AIT/AIV activities.

The duration is about 6 months

You must have student status and be enrolled at university for the entire duration of the internship. You should preferably be in your final or second to last year of a university course at master's level in a technical or scientific discipline.
