who are you

Pollux is the new production location of Janssen Biologics in Sassenheim. When you start as an operator, you will also help build and optimize the production environment. In the beginning, you will help building the production line and carry out tests. Important skills for this position are flexibility, problem-solving and critical thinking.

• You have at least a completed MBO or HBO education in Biochemistry or Process technology
• You have at least 2 years of experience as an operator in a similar environment
• You are available full-time from Monday to Sunday, 32 hours is also possible in consultation
• You can work day shifts, but are also willing to work in shifts
• You have a good command of the Dutch and English language

what will you do

At Pollux in Sassenheim they will produce medicines for Multipe Myeloom, a type of cancer. As operator you will work on different stages of the proces. From growing and harvesting cells, to automated filling and labeling. You will work in a cleanroom and according to strict GMP guidelines. Important skills for this position are critical Thinking, Problem-Solving and flexibility.Read more about your duties as an operator below.

• Culturing and inoculating cells and performing daily checks
• Preparing process additions and taking samples
• Harvesting SUB and purifying it with different techniques
• Supporting the installation and operation of new equipment, writing work instructions.
• Perform process and documentation activities, escalate process deviations, identify and resolve faults, train operators.

where will you work

Project Pollux is the construction of a new Janssen Supply Chain production location in Sassenheim. This location will be established as a new business unit for Janssen Biologics. Janssen Biologics is part of international pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson. Here, unique biopharmaceutical drugs are brought to market. The Pollux production location is still under construction, but 148 people are now working on this project. A team is ready to welcome and guide you in the workplace.
